Muranov, Chernyakov and Partners has been shortlisted for The British Legal Awards in 2011


Moscow, December 6, 2011 – Russian Law Firm Muranov, Chernyakov & Partners is among three CIS companies shortlisted by The British Legal Awards in 2011 in various nominations. Alexander Muranov, its Managing Partner, has been put on the list in the nomination European Managing Partner/ Senior Partner of the Year.

The British Legal Awards is one of the most important European industry awards since 2009, launched by Legal week industry magazine. It recognizes the achievements of those law firms, teams and individuals who have responded most successfully to the demands imposed on them by the new post-recession business environment. There are 25 nominations in individual, team and firm categories including 20 British and 5 international awards which have been carefully chosen to reflect the range of practice areas and skills that lie at the heart of the successful law firm or legal department.

The shortlist and winners of 2011 award were chosen by an independent panel of judges made up of senior in-house lawyers, former managing and senior partners including chairman of the Financial Reporting Review Panel Bill Knight, BAA general counsel Carol Hui, former Linklaters partner Nick Eastwell, now chief adviser on City law firms to the Solicitors Regulation Authority.

This year more than 300 companies from European, CIS, Asian and African regions submitted their applications for participation in The British Legal Awards 2011 with 3-5 companies finally shortlisted in 25 nominations including three companies from the CIS countries.
