Arseny Seidov practices in the area of tax law. He studied at the Moscow State University for International Relations, where he received a degree of Bachelor of Laws in 2001 and Master of Laws in 2002. He also holds a Ph.D. degree in international law obtained at the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia in 2004. In 2007 he received a degree of Master of Laws in International Taxation from New York University School of Law.

Mr. Seidov is currently a member of the Russian Branch of the International Fiscal Association and Association of European Businesses and actively participates in tax conferences organized by the American Chamber of Commerce and Russo-British Chamber of Commerce. He is also an author of over 30 professional publications in leading international and domestic editions and a visiting professor of tax law at MGIMO.

Mr. Seidov focuses his practice in the areas of tax planning and restructuring and tax advice for M&A transactions. He also handles transfer pricing and customs valuation, indirect taxation and tax litigation matters.

Advising numerous foreign clients on inbound investment into Russia and cross-border tax structuring and tax planning, including tax optimization and implementation of different tax planning opportunities.
Advising on establishing manufacturing operations schemes (including toll and contract manufacturing) through tax efficient structures and obtaining local tax exemptions; advising on related tax, customs optimization and regulatory compliance matters.
Advising on establishing tax-efficient commission agency and other distribution structures for major US and European manufacturers.
Advising foreign clients on export planning and strategy from Russia.
Advising on tax issues in M&A deals and organization of pre-acquisition tax due diligences of Russian target companies in various industries — primarily in the oil & gas, mining and metals and other natural resources industries, providing advice on and negotiation of tax representation and warranties and tax covenants in SPAs.
Advising US, UK and other European and Asian clients on structuring tax-efficient businesses in Russia while utilizing offshore holding companies and financial centers.
Advising on the tax aspects of structuring corporate financing and structuring securities operations and securities transactions, including government securities.
